How to Add an External Account
You can add an external account during several Digital Banking processes, including account setup, account funding, and transfers.
Option 1: Add an External Account from My Accounts
1. Log in to Digital Banking.
2. Navigate to Accounts > My Accounts.
3. Select the Add (+) icon.
4. Choose External Account.
5. Select Add Instantly.
6. When the Plaid window opens, enter phone number and select Continue.
Option 2: Add an External Account While Funding an Account
1. Log in to Digital Banking.
2. Select Transfer Funds.
3. Click the Account field.
4. Select Add New External Account.
5. Choose Add Instantly.
6. Select Continue to launch Plaid.
Option 3: Add an External Account During a Transfer
1. Navigate to Move Money.
2. Select New Transaction.
3. On the Choose a Recipient screen, select Add New Payee.
4. Select External Account.
5. Choose Add Instantly.
6. Select Continue to begin the Plaid connection process.
Connect Your Account via Plaid
1. Search for the financial institution where your external account is held.
2. Select your bank or credit union from the list.
3. Enter your online banking username and password for that institution.
4. Complete any additional security verification required by your financial institution.
5. Plaid will securely connect to your financial institution and display eligible accounts.
6. Select the account(s) you would like to connect.
7. Select Continue.
Confirmation
Once your account has been successfully linked:
1. A confirmation message will appear.
2. Select Continue.
3. You will return to Digital Banking.
4. Your newly connected account(s) will be available for transfers and other eligible services.
