Teller

LOCATION: Marion, AL

We are currently seeking a qualified Teller for our Marion, Alabama branch.

JOB SUMMARY:

At Marion Community Bank, the branch customer’s initial and often primary point of contact is the teller. Qualified candidates must be outgoing and engaging and have the experience and skills necessary to provide an excellent customer experience.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

· Efficiently handle daily customer transactions with minimal errors.

· Handle other office responsibilities including account maintenance, customer correspondence inquiries, cash orders, and collection items.

· Contribute to a welcoming branch environment by greeting ever customer as they enter, by name if possible.

· Address customer complaints with professionalism and sound judgment.

· Maintain a balancing record that conforms to bank policy.

· Follow policies, procedures, regulations, confidentiality requirements, and operational controls.

· Maintain a growth mindset by developing a working knowledge of all bank products and services and offering them to customers as appropriate.

· Actively participate in all bank promotional events and product/service initiatives in order to support bank sales and service goals.

EDUCATION/SKILLS:

· High school graduate or GED equivalent.

· 1 year of experience as a bank teller or like field

· Proficient in the use of technology including Microsoft Word and Excel

Relationship Banker

Job Location:  Clanton, Alabama

We are currently seeking a qualified Relationship Banker to assist our customers with their banking needs and to provide excellent customer service at our Clanton Branch.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide first-class customer experience by understanding the bank’s vision, mission, and values. Learn and understand the bank’s best-practices and provide feedback from customer interactions.
  • Greets and directs customers in person and on the phone.
  • Open various types of new accounts; verifies and processes changes to existing accounts.
  • Learn the bank’s products and services to promote and sell products across all lines of business and explains services to customers to meet their needs.
  • Ensure that all the bank’s policies and procedures, code of conduct and regulatory guidelines are strictly followed.
  • Attend meetings with bank management in order to provide feedback with ideas and best practices to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Provide assistance to staff in other departments of the bank.
  • Participate in marketing and awareness campaigns in the bank to create loyal customers.
  • Must be discreet and trusted with confidential information.
  • Participate in mandatory bank education programs as well as other internal/external related courses as required by bank management.
  • Maintain a balancing record that is in line with policy with the ability to find and correct outages.
  • Possess the ability to obtain an MLO number.
  • Become familiar with the bank’s lending policy.
  • Work with loan customers. This will include pre-loan procedures such as: distributing and receiving a completed loan application and performing basic credit underwriting functions such as obtaining credit reports, accurately calculating debt-to-income ratio, submitting a completed loan package for appropriate approval, and collecting all other required documentation for loan approval. Also, execute post-loan duties which include auditing loan files to ensure all required documents are included in the loan, signed by the appropriate person(s), and scanned into the bank’s loan system.

Requirements – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – for the Relationship Banker Position

To perform the above duties and responsibilities effectively, the following skills, knowledge, and abilities are expected that a relationship banker should possess:

  • Effective listening skills demonstrated by the ability to listen to other people talk without interruptions, understand them and then propose solutions or make contributions based on the points made.
  • Strong communication skills characterized by writing and speaking skills.
  • Possess multi-tasking skills and be able to function under pressure.
  • Have negotiation skills and be able to influence people.
  • Ability to use the computer efficiently and also learn new software.
  • Patient and willing to help others in solving problems while maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
  • Eye for detail and follow instructions to the letter.
  • Previous customer service and teller experience in a banking industry.
  • High school graduate or GED required.
